Was nervous buying a discontinued perfume on Ebay. When I got the perfume, I put it under a magnifying glass, checked the packaging and compared it to my other Mugler perfumes. I am confident it is authentic. Other than a slightly loosened spray top, this came as advertised: new with the complete packaging in the promised shipping window. Fahrenheit turns up the heat
Ever since I first put my nose to this fragrance, it was love at first sniff. This was my first ever signature fragrance, and it is one I continue to reach for even today. Yes, to some it might smell a little dated, but to me, it represents a revolution in the fragrance game of its time. No other fragrance even comes close to the bold, harsh, daring opening of leather, violet, and honeysuckle, and Sicilian Mandarin (the combination of which to many people smells almost like a petroleum/gasoline note), that settles into a beautiful, unique, warm yet woodsy accord (primarily Ceder and Sandalwood, with some musk and the slightest hint of lavender). The fragrance is an absolute masterpiece, one of the house of Dior's finest creations, perhaps even their best (and I include their much more ... The fragrance also gets bonus points for its affordability and ready availability. All in all, I find it to be an amazing juice that, in spite of some evaluations, still manages to smell contemporary. It is a brilliant fragrance, perfectly named, with masterful yet simple presentation. It is a truly timeless classic that won't disappear anytime soon.

The scent is the same that I recall from the 1980's. But, as others have mentioned in their reviews, it absolutely DOES NOT LAST on the skin. I remember this fragrance smelling as good (and strong) on me after getting home from work, as it did when I put it on in the morning....NOT any more. The longevity is totally gone. I even tried a few spritzes of it on my shirt thinking that it may last a few hours at least. That didn't work either. The fragrance is still wonderful, but the formulation has been changed...maybe to get you to use a lot more product at each application? Sad. Thirty minutes after I apply my Fahrenheit EDT, no one even realizes that I'm wearing a cologne, and I was once quite accustomed to getting 3 to 6 compliments per day when I wore this fragrance as "my ... Not as good as the original, but still pretty good
I got a bottle to replace my old one that I got in the 1990’s. It looks the same and I like the spray nozzle. The old one had more of a woody fragrance, but that could have been due to age. The sillage is good and it’s long lasting. I’m glad I replaced the old one that I used up.

The best cologne money can buy
Because I have used it for years and I never used anything else that has the fragrance like it does. I am very happy to have some again. I later found it cheaper for same size bottle. But I have made my purchases and I am really glad of that.
